HT pole collapses on Islamabad Expressway. Supply to three feeders, interrupted
A high tension pole collapsed after a heavy downpour near Islamabad’s Ghauri Town. Electricity supply to Ghauri Town Phases 4A, 5A, 4B, 5B Coral Lohi Bhair and surrounding areas has been suspended. The operations team for IESCO is working to install new poles and wires and resume supply at the earliest. However, due to heavy precipitation, the ground is wet which is delaying the restoration work.
The recent downpour across the country is a result of climate change as its reach and scale impacts our everyday lives.
