Multan-Sukkur motorway: 20 killed as a speeding bus crashes into an oil tanker

 Multan- Sukkur motorway: According to Radio Pakistan, 20 people were killed whereas six were injured as the speeding bus rammed into the oil tanker that caused the fire on M-9.

The bus was carrying 24 passengers and two crew members and departed from Lahore for Karachi. Police said the oil tanker’s driver ran away from the spot. The fire was so intense that the flames could be seen from several miles away, the accident had taken place at around 4 am. The bodies and injured were shifted to Nishter Hospital Multan. However, some of the bodies were badly burned which is causing difficulty to identify, the authorities will initiate a DNA testing process.

President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
